Domain Therapeutics NA Inc. (DTNA) is a biopharmaceutical company involved in innovative drug discovery. DTNA began its operations in Montreal in January 2014. DTNA is a subsidiary of the French
company Domain Therapeutics(Strasbourg, France) founded in 2008. The company’s primary mission is to discover and develop tomorrow’s treatments (small molecules and antibodies) in human health
through its internal research programs, as well as through research collaborations with external partners. Research activities are focused primarily on one of the largest families of cellular receptors
in humans, the G-Protein Coupled Receptors (GPCRs). The research areas of DTNA are mainly in the field of immuno-oncology. Thanks to its patented technology platform bioSens-All®, the company
works with several world-renowned pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to help them discover and develop new therapeutic agents. The use of this technological platform, resulting from
academic research in Quebec, allows for a more precise and broader understanding of the therapeutic targets being studied, as well as the compounds or antibodies with which they interact. The
contribution of technology also helps to reduce the risks associated with drug discovery and development. Comprising a solid research team supported by equipment and technologies at the
cutting edge of drug discovery, this St-Laurent-based organization is currently looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Laboratory Technician.

Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Biology, the primary role of the Laboratory
Technician is to assist research programs. More specifically, responsibilities include:
All tasks surrounding cell culture:
• Maintain cells in culture s and prepare cells for transfection
(based on weekly requirements)
• Perform mycoplasma testing
• Prepare cell culture and transfection media
• Perform all general tasks surrounding the culture room
(incubator maintenance, C02, cell culture equipment)
General laboratory duties:
• Prepare stock solutions
• Prepare DNA mixes for transfection
• Maintain plasmid inventory
• Manage ligand inventory
• Perform all general tasks surrounding the lab
• Maintain the Instrument Preventive Maintenance Schedule
• Calibrate pipettes
• Place orders and maintain inventories

Required profile:
EDUCATION: college diploma in biotechnology or B.Sc. in biochemistry, biology, pharmacology, immunology or related field
EXPERIENCE: internship experience in a related field will be considered an asset
SKILLS: proficiency in office automation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
COMPETENCIES: thoroughness, attention to detail, consistency in work and teamwork
BILINGUALISM: French-English (oral and written fluency), English (professional communication)

This is a permanent full-time position with a work schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
